Magyarorszagi latogatas/ A visit to Hungary

Tegnap erkeztunk haza egy hetes magyarorszagi latogatasunkrol. Az ido valami hihetetlenul meleg volt, nagyon elveztuk ezt a masodik meglepetes nyarat. Ket napot toltottunk Pesten apaval, a tobbit pedig Barcikan anyaval. Egyut nagyreszt a jatszotereket jartuk! Isabelle nagyon elvezte a latogatast, be be kell valljam, hogy a vegefele kezdett besokallni a sok olelegetestol, gyomoszolestol, es puszilgatastol. Mindenki nagyon kedvesen fogadott minket, finomabbnal finomabb vacsorakban es ebedekben volt reszunk. Oly annyira jol voltunk tartva, hogy nemelyik vendeglatonknak elore kellett szolni, hogy ne keszuljenek husos etellel, mert mar szerdara annyira tele voltunk a sok finamsaggal. a csalad latogatas mellett ido kerult a Szamosfalvi es a safrany csalad meglatogatasara is, melyeket tenyleg nagyon nagyon elveztunk, es melykre nagy szeretettel gondolunk vissza. Ezalkalommal meg a volt altalanos iskolai es a gimis osztalyfonokeimhez is sikerul beugrani es nehany szot valtani a regi szep idokrol. (Isabelle kifejezettem elvezte a Troja Eva altal tartott tesi orat)

We just got back from our week long Hungarian trip. The weather was unbelievable hot considering the time of year but we just loved this second surprise summer. We spent two days in Budapest with my dad (we satyed at Merriott's Millenium court which we can't recomend highly enough www.marriott.co.uk) and a short but eventful few days in Kazincbarcika at my mum's. We had a great time, intense however especially for Isabelle as everybody wanted to kiss and cuddle her so she did get a bit fed up towards the end. It was lovely to see everyone including my my old primary and high school teachers too!!! We were fed so well by all of our family and friends that towards the weekend we had to ask everyone to only cook light meals. Holgyek napja / Ladies' Day

Itt Angliaban nagy hagyomanya van a loversenynek. Egy evben egyszer minden loverseny palyan Ascott, York, itt Beverley-ben is rendeznek holgyek napjat amikor mindenki szepen kioltozik, es a napot a loverseny palyan toltik. En meg sohasem voltam, de az iden a Chrisek legfontosabb ugyfele szponzoralta a doncasteri holgyek napjat, igy VIP vendegekkent vehettunk reszt. Gyonyoru idonk volt es a hangulat fantasztikus volt. Amikor a lovak elindultak kb 1 km tavolsagbol, es kozeledtek felenk, egyre jobban lehetett latni oket ahogyan szaguldottak, es minel kozelebb voltak, a kozonseg annal hangosabban drukkolt a lonak amikre fogadtak. Hihetelen elmeny volt.

Kiralyi ellatasban volt reszuk a menu, a berendezes, minden elegans volt. Remelem, hogy jovore is megyunk!!!

We had a fantastic day at the Doncaster Ladies day last week (sponsored by DFS www.dfs.co.uk)

I have never been to the races ever, so it was such an experience to see these beautiful animals run this fast. We were VIP guests of DFS so we sat at arms length of Linda Barker (the designer) and Lord Kirkham who owns DFS.

Th atmosphere was fab, especially when the horses got closer and the crowd started cheering. I really do hope that they'll sponsor ladies day next year too and that we'll be invited.

A nyertes futam / The winning race

Fogadtunk egy-ket futamon, a £4 amit ezen nyertunk a kovetkezon el is veszitettuk.

We did bet a couple of times, the £4 we won on this one with Kieran Fallon riding we lost it on the rest of the races....

George

George a szomszedom. A vilag legjobb szomszedja. George rengeteget tanitott a kerteszkedesrol, es meg most is ha kerdesem van, hozza fordulok. Reggelenkent egyutt locsolunk, o az ovet, en az enyemet es kozben a vilag dolgait beszeljuk meg. A kutyajaval Reggievel Isabelle is nagy haver.

George is my neighbour. He is in fact the best neighbour in the whole wide world. He has taught me soooo much about gardening. I still ask him about things I don't know and he always comes to help. George always brings a ray of sunshine with him into my garden even when it's rainy.

Alma/Apples

Az iden nem csak gyonyoru retket, ceklat, hagymat, gyingyhagymat, zukkinit, porehagymat, paradicsomot, soskat, spenotot es epre sikerult termelnem, hanem az almafa is jol termett. Milyen csodaszepek!!!

This year I have not only been successful with my lovely vegetables (beetroot, raddishes, leeks, onions, shalotts, tomatoes, courgettes, strawberries) but the apple tree has done very well. Aren't they beautiful?
